F.A.Q
How long has your company been in business?
A-2-Z Websolutions LLC. was established on the island of Oahu in 2000 in the dot-com era. We offered domains, websolutions, business consulting, website designs, graphic design, virtual assistants, printing, and publishing. We then began offering remote work opportunities in 2011, recognizing the growing need for flexibility, balance, and freedom in the modern workplace. What started as a small initiative has now grown into a full commitment to providing meaningful careers that can be built from anywhere. By embracing remote work early, we’ve been able to create a supportive, flexible environment where our team members can thrive personally and professionally. We are partnered with Arise; however, not all of our opportunities are with them.
Can I work from anywhere?
You must legally reside in the United States and must be 18 years or older. You can provide your services from anywhere that is open to new applications. If you move, you are able to bring your work with you! How many jobs can you say that about?
*Currently, our partner Arise is not accepting applicants from the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maryland, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. (This also means you are unable to service from these states if you were to move to one of these states)
Yes ✅ — virtual assistants can work from any U.S. state, since most VA roles are fully remote. However, there are a few important points to keep in mind:
🔹 What Makes It Possible
-
-
-
-
Remote by Nature – Virtual assistants handle tasks like scheduling, email management, data entry, customer service, and social media — all of which can be done online.
-
Client Flexibility – Most clients don’t require you to live in a specific state, as long as you can communicate effectively and meet deadlines.
-
Independent Contractor Setup – Many VAs are freelancers, which allows them to work with clients across the country (and even internationally).
-
-
-
🔹 Things to Consider
-
-
-
-
State Laws & Taxes – You’ll still need to comply with your own state’s tax laws and business registration requirements.
-
Employment vs. Contract Work – Some companies that hire VAs as employees (not contractors) may limit opportunities to certain states due to labor laws or payroll compliance.
-
Time Zones – While you can work from any state, some clients may prefer you’re in (or near) their time zone for scheduling purposes.
-
-
-
✅ Bottom line: Yes, virtual assistants can work from any state, but the specifics may depend on whether you’re freelancing or working as a company employee.
